This week, the above quote by Oscar Wilde leaped out and grabbed me. I thought it was really ‘deep,’ until I thought a little harder.
I realized that I have worn a mask all my life and that I am only really me when I’m writing.
So I made up my own quote.

I thought about writing when I read this too. Social media allows people to wear masks too. It’s easy to be brave when you write behind a computer.

Very true, Cathy! I try to be as authentic as I can, but I do tend to leave out my fearful and anxious side. That side does come out when I write, though.
